Blocking unwanted calls can help reduce spam, robocalls, or other disturbances. Follow the instructions below to block specific phone numbers or area codes using the RingCentral app.


  • Blocking a number prevents incoming calls or faxes from that number.

  • You can block specific numbers or entire area codes to reduce unwanted calls.


For Desktop App (Windows & macOS)

  1. Open the RingCentral App.
    Launch the desktop version and sign in.

  2. Go to Settings.
    Select Settings from the dropdown on the left. 

  3. Navigate to Phone Settings.
    Click on Phone, then select Blocked Numbers.

  4. Choose Block Numbers or Area Codes.

  5. Click Add a Blocked Number.
    Type in the number or area code you wish to block.

  6. Save Your Changes.




  




For Mobile App (iOS & Android) 

  1. Open the RingCentral App.
    Launch the app on your smartphone and sign in, if required.

  2. Go to Settings.
    Tap your profile icon (usually top left or top right), then select Settings.

  3. Tap on Phone.
    Scroll down and choose the Phone option.

  4. Select Blocked Numbers.
    Under the Call Settings section, tap on Blocked Numbers.

  5. Tap Block Numbers or Area Codes.
    This will open the list of numbers and area codes currently blocked.

  6. Add a Blocked Number.
    Tap Add a Blocked Number, then enter the number you want to block.

  7. Save.
    Confirm by saving or tapping "Done."
